My story - My name is Ryan, I am 15 years old. I would like to raise as much money as I can for the James Paget eye department (Ophthalmology). Since I was born which was too early (24 weeks gestation), I was very small (460 grams) and my eyes were not well. I had multiple eye operations because I was on a ventilator for a long time, which affected my eye sight. Since then the eye department have regularly checked up on my eyes and sorted out any issues I have had over the years, they have been truly amazing. Now I have moved to Lowestoft, I will be attending the James Paget eye department for my appointments and any help my eyes need, I will one day need another operation as my eyes are slowly getting more poorly again, I want to help the eye department out as much as I can as they have helped me.

My challenge - I have pledged on Saturday 8th May to walk from my home in Kirkley area all the way to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, it is approximately 8.6 miles. This is no easy task for me as I currently cannot walk outside independently or unaided, I will start training for this challenge and my parents will walk with me on the day, I promise I will do my very best to complete my challenge.

Any donation you provide no matter how much, I am very very grateful for your support.
