A Tractor Road Run, held around villages north of Great Yarmouth in November, has raised over £660 for our Sandra Chapman Centre.
The run was organised by Phil and Lindsey Page and took place on Sunday 20 November, starting from their farm in Scratby. Thirty-two tractors took part, completing an almost two-hour loop around neighbouring villages including Caister, Filby, Fleggburgh, Martham and Rollesby before returning to the farm.
Drivers paid £10 to join the convoy and donations were also collected, and the parade attracted many spectators along the route.
A massive £664.89 was raised as a result and earlier this week Phil and Lindsey came into our hospital to officially handover a cheque to our Sandra Chapman team.
The unit, in our main hospital building, cares for patients with malignant and non-malignant conditions, including blood disorders and cancers, and both Lindsey and one of her relatives have been receiving treatment at the Centre.
Funds raised from the run will go to support the work of the Unit and patients using the Centre. We’d like to thank Lindsey and Phil, everyone who took part in the run, and all those who supported this event, for their generosity.
