Parents visiting our Children’s Ward now have a comfortable place to sit to watch their children play after a generous donation.

Robert Parker, his wife and his work colleagues raised £400 by holding raffles which the ward put towards a cheerful new sofa for the playroom.

This means parents now have a place to sit while their children play in a room designed to help brighten up hospital stays for young people.

“Robert wanted to put money towards something we needed, as he wanted to give something back to the hospital, and we’d like to thank him and everyone involved for their generosity,” said play assistant Catherine Preston, pictured.
